GOVT. KING GEORGE HOSPITAL

The Hospital was established in the year 1923. The Hospital and the College are within the precincts of about 27 acres on a sandy hill, which includes administrative buildings, wards, operation theaters, nursing school and college, students hostels, libraries, auditorium, lecture galleries, laboratories etc. There are altogether 50 buildings constructed in different periods with multiple entrances surrounded partly by slums.

GOVT. HOSPITAL FOR MENTAL :

The Government Hospital for Mental Care was one of the earliest mental care hospitals. It was established in the year of 1871 with 94 patients. In the present day (2019) it has 300 beds, which will be enhanced to 450.

GOVT. ENT HOSPITAL :

The hospital started a cochlear implant surgery programme in 2015.
The hospital serves not only in Andhra Pradesh state it also serves patients from Odisha and Chhattisgarh and the hospital sees 500 outpatients a day and 50 surgeries in a week. There is only one audiologist, but four vacancies, and this has been the situation since 2009.
